What is church?
Church is the place where God’s people come together to worship Him and to grow in their relationship with Him while in a safe and loving environment.
When are the church services?
Church services occur on Sundays at 10am&6pm weekly. Our 6pm service has an Open Heaven focus. - Directions
Following every service our café is open. We would love you to join us for coffee or a meal.
Who runs Southern Lights?
Ps’ Peter and Karen Nicholes are our Senior Pastors. They are well supported by a team of staff as well as the entire church community. They carry the vision of Southern Lights, ‘CHANGING HEARTS TO CHANGE A NATION.’ You can get a feel of the heart of Southern Lightsby listening to our weekly sermons - podcasts page.
I just met Jesus, now what?
‘Getting to know God better’ is a course for new Christians or those seeking to know more about God. It runs each term on Tuesday nights, please contact our office for more info.
How do I get connected?
New people are encouraged to attend our DNA course. Over 7 week sessions we will acquaint you with the seven pillars that are central to the purpose of our church, Southern Lights. We would also love you to join a Connect 2 Group.
What about my children?
Our 10am service offers crèche (6mth-3yrs), twinkle stars (3-5yrs) and children’s church - Southern Stars (5-12yrs). Our 6pm service offers crèche for (6mth-3yrs). All of our children’s workers have working with children checks, so they’re in safe hands. We also run a weekly kids club on Friday’s from 4.30-6pm - more info
Any support for mothers?
‘Mothers of pre Schoolers’ (MOPS) is a community based program that supports mums with children. If you are a mum we would love to have you come and join us one morning. Contact office for more details.
What about teenagers?
If you have high school aged youth we run a weekly youth program on Friday nights called Ignition Youth.Ignition exists to introduce teenagers to their creator and provide a safe place to build friendships with peers and mentors. All of our youth mentors have working with children checks. - more info
What about young adults?
If you are ayoung adult (18-30yrs) and want to connect with Southern Lights we have a community of young adults waiting to meet you called Synergy. Synergy exists to unify and mobilise young adults into their God given purpose in church, in their relationships and in their communities.- more info
I need help and support with some life issues?
Southern Lights provides counseling services for church members and the wider community through Connect Care. We would love to help and support you in getting answers to any difficult situations you may be going through.

How do I get resources?
Our church is a resource base to the nations and we have various ways to get hold of resources. If you visit our online store, you will find audio series, music albums and song books and much many more resources based on the latest revelation that heaven is revealing to us.
Our weekly podcasts will keep you updated with the proceeding word come from our Sunday meetings.
Can Southern Lights train me?
Our training arm, ‘Excelerate Apostolic Training’ has been training disciples into sons & daughters for over twelve years - more info
