School Of Prophets
Adult SOP
340 people including 81 children from 40 churches across 4 states attended this years School of the Prophets (SOP). The theme was Double Portion and as always we saw God move in all His glory, come in all His power and move amongst us transforming lives and downloading us with fresh heavenly revelation. Since the end of SOP many reports have come in about the good that God is doing. As people returned to their churches, the churches were in turn smashed with the presence of God and powerful word they had received at SOP. We particularly have heard many reports of young people being roused in their spirits and salvations across connected churches.
Proceeding word
The purpose of SOP is hear what God is saying now and to allow the Holy Spirit to move as he pleases and touch lives as he needs to. Every year is different because the Holy Spirit always moves in new ways and dimensions. The week started with Peter Nicholes sharing his heart on a double portion spirit (2 Kings 2:1-18) and moving with the prophetic before Peter Ingram shared about hearing and moving with the Holy Spirit.
Peter’s heart as an apostolic father poured out as the week continued as he brought truth and understanding to all in attendance, Caleb Nicholes had the opportunity to share on sons that remain with their father from the model Jesus set with his Father (John 15).
Karen Nicholes finished the week with a sermon that was given while she was completely drunk in the Holy Ghost, she remembers little as she pretty well acted out her sermon on the ‘Spirit without measure,’ she was full of the Spirit. Our guest speaker this year, Rebekah Milne shared two powerful words on the authority and the power of Jesus; we love her company and her constant input into the school.
Generation Next SOP
SOP 2011 introduced the inaugural ‘Generation Next’ portion of SOP for children aged 3-15 years. They spent the week learning about God their creator, worshipping, painting as they were led by the Holy Spirit and playing all kinds of sports. The children were split into three age groups with learning and activities relevant to their age.
Anyone can relate to God, but children tend to find an incredible ease in doing this and continually keep us accountable to living in child-like faith. The children did not just listen to teaching but were encouraged to activate their spirits and step out in faith. All week they worshipped in power together, prophesied over each other and reached out for healing and miracles. All of the children saw visions, moved in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and all in all had a fun, adventurous and transforming week, we can’t wait to build more into the lives of the next generation in 2012.
Combined breakthrough worship
For three nights in a row the adults and children came together for breakthrough worship events. Over 1000 people attended the three nights and with strategy to ‘Establish Zion,’ strength to ‘Roar from Zion’ and an impartation of a ‘Caleb Spirit.’
Milly Opt’ Hoog
At night all the adults and children came together for a large service and some of the children shared their stories with confidence beyond their years in front over 400 people. One young girl from Swan Hill named Milly shared how her heart had been broken by a boy at school and how this had caused her to harden it towards God and others. She shared with incredible vulnerability how she had felt dirty and unclean ever since but that during a session on “purity” at the school God had set her free from all impurity and refashioned her identity.
